Request Animal Portrait

The Process

o  Email me your photo’s to lottie@lottiemcateerfineart.org . Together we can choose the best photo for the portrait. (A good photo quality makes such a difference to the result!)

o  If you need this portrait for a particular date, please let me know and I’ll try my best to accommodate.

o  I will then send you layout options for you to choose from and visualise your portrait. You pick your preferred layout and at this stage I may request a deposit.

o  I will give you an approximate date of when I’ll be able to finish your portrait.

o  When the portrait is completed, I’ll send you a final photo of it, in case there are any changes you’d like before postage. When you’re 100% happy with it, I will require payment through bank transfer.

o  Your portrait will be carefully wrapped and posted using tracked delivery.

Photograph

I cannot emphasise enough that the better the image you give me, the better the portrait will be.

Photographs must be in good lighting, clear and detailed as these will need to be enlarged for your portrait.

I understand sometimes you will only have old photographs; I will try my best to make that work.

True eye colour and fur colour is important. The more detail a photo has the more detailed your portrait will be.

I can help you chose which photos are best for your portrait.

Mounting

The mounted option is the card border around the artwork, inside the frame. This allows ‘breathing’ space between the artwork and the frame itself. This option is popular for ease with framing and/or gifting your portrait. Your mount is an off-white shade to match the portrait background and is FSC Certified Acid Free which means is resistant to yellowing and fading, along with being better for the environment. I’ll send you a finished image of your painting with the mount where you can decide if you’d like this option.

Framing

I can organise framing your work in addition to these above prices. Please let me know before I start your portrait so I can organise this within your time frame.
